Depending on the client’s needs the counselling process is tailored to: either a trajectory which follows a planned schedule composed of three to up to nine consecutive sessions or with unscheduled and random sessions. Professionals are mastered in revealing the finest interventions to apply to their clients. This can be offering assignments including penning their emotions, drawing their feelings or playing with colour cards. However, professionals also apply certain unique interventions that emerge during the counselling process.

Clients generally name counselling as the path that goes to your inner world, which you are partially aware of. Similar to clients’ reference, counselling can be defined as a process in which you shed light on your shadows, and start revealing your own potential in your own hands under the supervision of a professional.

How does the counselling process run? Step by step:

- You book an appointment either by phone or on the website

- You are welcomed by the therapist at the entrance. You are free to take off your shoes / with bare-feet or you are given a pair of cases to cover your shoes

- You will kindly be asked to hand over your identity card for registration in the system

- While you are being enrolled in the system, you can have a drink (coffee / water) or if you wish you can discover paintings and plants in both the consultation chamber, and in the office. Don’t forget the kitchen and restroom are always available to you.

- You and the therapist are the only two people present in the setting. No one is allowed to come in while we are in the session. You are free to take your drinks with you into the consultation chamber.

- Once the session is over, you may use the main or private entrance,. it’s up to you.

In essence, aholistic approach advocates that individuals are the accumulation of past and present moments. That said, humankind is in constant exchange with nature and therefore no energy revealed can be wasted: we learn and form our attitudes and behaviours also from our parents, tutors, books and many phenomena around the world. As much as our personality is unique, and shapes its own path, it cannot avoid the fact that it is a part of a larger community which is founded on certain pillars such as culture, and traditions. In a holistic approach various parameters that affect your thoughts today are taken into consideration during sessions and are presented to the clients with awareness-raising questions and talks.

This absolutely has an affirmative effect on our sessions as it is proven with a range of studies and also experiences revealed during the sessions. The more you are mentally prepared, the deeper the sessions go, which eventually leads to soft and organic sessions.

Without exception, whoever consulted for support from the mirror psychological and pedagogical counselling have reported that the interior of the office is very warm and cosy where clients feel absolutely at home. The interior is designed following years of fine qualitywork and research together with professionals to make sure the clients use all the facilities including kitchen and bathroom. You are free to take off your shoes and attend sessions barefootedor you are given a pair of cases to cover your shoes. To make sure the client’ privacy is secured the given appointments are booked in different time frames that enables the client to not face anyone. The client may also use any of two doors when coming in or going out. It all depends on how comfortable you feel.

The mirror psychological and pedagogical counselling expects clients to respect their appointments. As studies and field works have demonstrated, consistency of attendance to sessions has an affirmative effect in framing the obstacle and speeding up the recovery period.

Human beings, by their nature, are prone to put things together in order to come up with the right decision. That can be interpreted in the way that individuals dislike ambiguity and tend to learn what sits in front of them. Studies conducted in cognitive neuroscience also shows that our cognition always attempts to merge disconnected pieces in daily life. In chaotic situations, we want to carve out a path that leads to relatively better circumstances. That might be an uneasy situation as we live in a nonlinear and complex world. Often we are unaware of how much we are exposed to the external world. This corresponds to the moment when your right and wrong are intermingled, emotions and reasoning are fighting each other and solid principles contradict the truths in the field. Now you may need to frame this uncertainty through in-depth talks under the supervision of a professional. We frame together.

  • Give yourself time to address the challenge.
  • Try to disclose your obstacles first to your parents, siblings, partner or friends.
  • Book an appointment when you come to the decision that you need to consult with a professional.

I deliver my services in English to all people regardless of the community they belong to. Therefore, there exists no particular community that I focus on and provide my services to.

Professionals conduct their service with confidentiality in accordance to the laws and regulations stipulated. Breaching any law in this regard can result in serious consequences. Professionals pay attention to not violate any ethical codes and contradict existing laws and regulations.

Every professional has gone through intensive education in earning the qualification that is required to deliver the best services. If the professional is not fully committed it will make it harder to obtain the required qualification. Therefore, therapists you consult are fully fledged and capable to support you in overcoming your challenging situation.

Laws and regulations also stipulate that the client should be informed in advance if what they disclose harms themselves or the public and that information must be forwarded to law enforcement.

Certainly not. Professionals find this as an absolute sign of comfort and trust. Building comfortability is the key for professionals to run a fruitful session. By crying you show that you trust your therapist. Therefore, tissues are always available in the consultation chambers to make you feel that you are comfortable to express yourself in anyway you like.

You are absolutely free to stop the session any time you feel you are not OK. You are accompanied by a professional to sit somewhere you feel better. If a small pause works, the session will be resumed following the consent of the client. If not, a new appointment is scheduled for the next session.

Principally, I do not work at weekends since better services require better mental and physical preparations. On certain occasions, I book some appointments for clients at the weekend if the request is delivered a week in advance.

Lessons learned in the field reveal that if the client is mentally and emotionally prepared for the session, it plays out positively in running the sessions and overcoming the challenges. Professionals’ technical capability and ability to build up trust are also key in concluding fruitful sessions. This might be named as a mutual process in which each party empowers the other with their mental preparedness and ability to build up constructive sessions.
